The Frog Prince
Last week I was speaking to my astrologer, and she mentioned that Marc kept sending her a message about this frog at Blue Fox Farm and he was insistent that I knew about it. When she told me about this message, I honestly blew it off. We do not have a pond on the farm and its not the type of marshy land where frogs typically thrive. Additionally, Marc wouldn’t send me a message through a frog, I only channel him through dogs and horses…or so I thought.
With the chaos of the barn move this week I have not spent much time connecting with my animals, and therefore my channeled messages from Marc have been scarce. Marc always used to say that if he could not contact with me, he would call my best friend Ashleigh because odds are if I am not at home with the kids I am at the barn with her!
And just like that I get a text message from Ashleigh. It’s a photo of a king like frog perched on a ledge at Blue Fox. My frog prince.
Frogs often bring news about the start of something new. Blue Fox Farm is a time of conception in my life as I draw down what I am creating and giving out to the world through this land and all of her creatures.
My favorite book of all time is James Herriot’s All Creatures Great and Small. Today I channeled a message from a creature I would typically have overlooked; this frog is not a cute golden retriever puppy or a beautiful horse. But he truly served as my Prince Charming today and as a powerful reminder that some gifts may appear smaller and less ostentatious than others, but their messages can be just as powerful and certainly worth the wait.
Marc spent most of his childhood in Africa and grew accustomed to the heat and the sun. One of his favorite things to do was to sit outside and bask in the heat and direct sunlight during the day (loaded with SPF and a large, brimmed hat of course!). We had a lovely backyard and always seemed to have a project going on. Marc used to sit on our deck and joyfully observe the transformation that was taking place in his home.
The Blue Fox frog symbolizes my prince sitting there enjoying the beautiful barn our family is creating and in awe of its transformation. Just as a tadpole transforms into a frog, and I have transformed from insecurity and lack to wholeness, Blue Fox Farm is transforming into something truly heavily and I cannot wait to see what she becomes!
These are the moments in life that are so much more valuable than the soul could ever imagine.
Thanks for being here with me on this wild journey. Every time I share these stories, I'm reminded that the most magical moments usually show up when we're not looking for them.
If this story touched something in you, I'd love to hear about it. And if you know someone who might need to hear about finding their own frog prince, feel free to share this with them.
Until next time, keep your eyes open for the small messengers. They might just have the biggest things to say.
With love from the farm,
Lauren Rae 💚
P.S. - Marc always did have perfect timing. Even now.
